SmartMove is free for everyone, giving young and new workers full access to learning resources, safety tips, and interactive training to build confidence at work.

Educators and PCBUs are encouraged to share it with their teams, with support available for login and account help as needed.

Technical issues

It’s easy!

  1. Click the Login/Register button in the main menu (or anywhere else you see it) and select Sign up at the bottom of the login screen. (See image below.)
  2. Fill out the form carefully. Mandatory fields are marked with a red exclamation mark. Tip: Your full name, school/RTO, or business name will appear on your Certificate exactly as entered.
  3. Click Create my new account and check your email from no-reeply@smartmove.safetyline.wa.gov.au for a confirmation message. Don’t forget to look in spam or trash folders if you don’t see it.
  4. Click the link in the email to confirm your address and complete registration.
  5. Log in and start using SmartMove!

 

Make sure your username and password are correct—they’re case sensitive.

Try typing your password in a text editor first to check it, then copy and paste it into the login field.

If you’re still having trouble, use the “Forgotten your username or password?” link to reset it.

If you don’t see your confirmation email within an hour, please check your junk or spam folder.

School or organisation email accounts may need your IT administrator to allow emails from noreply@smartmove.learnbook.com.au

If you think you entered your email incorrectly during registration, please contact us so we can help update your account.

Our modules are more interactive and may have larger file sizes. A good, stable internet connection will help them load faster.

 

You can’t change your username, email, or name after registration. To update these, please use the Contact Us page.

To change your password, use the Forgotten password link on the login page.

You can try each quiz as many times as you need. The passing grade is 100%.

Yes, your progress will be saved if you have a stable internet connection.

To register completion, click the Exit button on the final “Congratulations” slide before closing your browser.

If you missed it, re-launch the module, select Resume, return to the last slide, and click Exit.

Also ensure you have a stable connection.

The module will show 100% complete when user views the Certificate of Completion in the module view.

Once the modules are complete they move to the “Completed” section of the menu accessible from the “My Courses” dropdown menu. (see below image)

The Certificate of Completion is located in each of the Industry Modules and will become available upon completion of each of the Industry Modules.

The Certificate will be unlocked and available for download when user has completed all quizzes with the required passing score of 100%.

This can happen if there were mistakes when you first created your account, as the details you enter are used on the certificate. You can’t change your name in your settings.

Certification and training

The general module is mandatory and must be completed before any industry module, but there is no separate certificate issued for completing it alone.

To receive a Certificate of Completion, you also need to complete one of the industry modules.

Due to incompatibility between the old and new modules, previous progress and completions couldn’t be transferred. The old modules have been retired, but awarded certificates are available for download in the “Completed” section under “My Courses” once you log in.

No. WorkSafe WA is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and cannot assess or certify students in any course. This website is a comprehensive resource for BSBWHS201A and WHS training, but delivery and assessment are the responsibility of your school or RTO.

No. Completing the lessons on this site does not replace the PCBU’s legal responsibility to provide a WHS induction for new workers.

You will still need to attend your workplace training.

The Safety Passport program has been phased out. The new SmartMove Certificate includes experiential learning through the “Spot the Hazard” simulation sections in each module.

The extension module has been replaced by the alternative learning course, designed to address specific learning requirements of students with physical, medical, and other disabilities.
